According to the Alabama Administrative Code, "The Dept. of Finance Legal Division represents the State in all litigation affecting the (Finance) Department." These records consist of case files for the following matters which were litigated: Morgan County Board of Education VS Alabama Public School and College Authority; Faulkner Construction VS Tom Ventress, et al; Town of Toxey VS Town of Gilbertown and F. Ziegler; Wilcox County Commission VS State Treasurer, State Comptroller, and Director of Finance; J. Baker and E. Burke VS Wallace, Solomon, Allen, et al; Central Alabama General Contractors VS Wage Commission; and Hasson VS Building Commission. These files contain briefs, correspondence, notes, and other documents relating to each case. The information contained in them includes the background of the cases and the final outcome of the litigation.
